Event Information

Thanks to everyone who helped pick up trash on March 8th! It was a beautiful day, and we were thrilled to be joined by over 30 people from the Sunset neighborhood and beyond as we picked up 10 bags of trash and took down loads of ivy.

Special thanks to our extremely helpful and energetic gardeners, Andy and DeMarius.

We have a few photos of the event here. Please send us your photos too and we'll add them to the pool.

Join your neighbors from the Sunset on Saturday, March 8th as we clean up the south side of the park, between 21st and 25th Avenues, musing in many different languages about the impressive variety of trash to be found. We'll meet near the Lincoln Way entrance at 21st Avenue and spread out around the park. Stop by anytime between 11 am and 2 pm. We'll have food and drinks, and lots to talk about. This is a safe, family-friendly event, so bring your kids and neighbors. Dogs too. Cats on leashes?

This event is an opportunity to turn our georgeous, but admittedly trashy neighborhood park where everyone from the neighborhood can relax, have fun and exercise. The event is supported by the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department.
